Lincoln Sign Company's Summer 2008 Carved House Sign Give-Away
So here is your chance to get your very own, FREE, carved sign for your home. In fact, I want to give you the chance for both you, and a friend, to win one of these signs. This is a sign that measures 14" x 16" and is made of BetterWood. The lettering and house number is v-carved and hand gold-leafed with real 23k gold (the name and number will be customized for you, of course). The sign you can win will be very similar to the sign above, but it might vary slightly (for example, we might paint the sky a slightly different shade of blue, and add some clouds). We will retain artistic control over the sign you will receive.
The give away is going to work like this:
Anyone will be free to leave a comment on this post until Tuesday September 30th, 2008 at 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. You can comment as many times as you want (which allows you to have as many entries into the contest as you wish). When you comment, let us know your first name, and give us the name of a friend of yours, who will become your "Free Sign Buddy" (I'll explain the "Buddy" thing in a minute). As you enter a comment, the order in which your comment falls will become your entry number, and used to determine if you win the contest. The first comment will be #1, the second comment that lists on the page will be #2, and so on...
After 9-30-2008 at 5pm, I will have the Four Horsemen of Doom (Ben, Cam, Alex and Connor) pick numbers from 0 through 9 at random out of a hat. For, example, if over 100 people entered (but less than 1000) three numbers will be chosen, to determine the 3-digit winning number.
Now, after the winner is selected, we will contact you via email. You just won yourself a sign. If you listed a "sign buddy" in your comment, AND, if your sign buddy posted a comment anytime during the contest, they will win a sign as well. So, when you comment, email your "sign buddy" right away, tell them about the contest, and have them enter. (NOTE: You do NOT need to have a "sign buddy" to win)
Now, to clarify this a bit. You can enter as many times as you want, and you can name a different "sign buddy" every time, but only the "buddy" named in your WINNING comment will get a free sign, and, your buddy needs to have commented on the contest at least once.
By commenting on this post you agree to the terms and rules of this give-away (read here) and, should you be selected as a winner, consent to letting me use your name when I announce the winners. Anonymous comments and comments without a valid email address will be disqualified.
